
Founder
and President, Doug Mattox, has 45 years experience in dealing,
appraising, and collecting coins and stamps (See our client
list). Mr. Mattox is the Estate Advisor for the American
Philatelic Society. He is also a representative for the Professional
Coin Grading Service and ANACS Coin Grading Service.
Mr.
Mattox began his career in 1953 as a philatelic and numismatic
collector and show exhibitor. From 1964 until 1975 he was a
bourse dealer and grader and describer to the American Airpost
Company.
In
1976, Mr. Mattox became the principal in his own coin and stamp
firm. From 1976 to present his corporation has been involved
in buying and selling coins, stamps, and autographs on a wholesale
and retail level.
Mr.
Mattox also has vast experience at writing auction lots and
working as an auction agent in coins, stamps, and autographs
on an international level.
Mr.
Mattox holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a split major in
American History and Music Composition and Theory from North
Carolina State University. He is a member in good standing of
the following organizations:
